Tim's Disney Photo Tip of the Week

This photo of C-3PO was taken in the queue line for Star Tours in Disney-MGM Studios by Tim Devine in October 2005. Taken with a Canon 20d coupled with the 50mm f/1.4 lens, Tim was able to get a 1/30 shutter speed at aperture f/2.2 at ISO 3200. A bit of Photoshop cleanup (including noise reduction and sharpening) make this one of the best Star Tours queue shots Tim had even gotten. In this photo, C-3PO is seen monitoring the control panels while off camera R2-D2 repairs the Starspeeder 3000 which was damaged during a previous trip.

Magical Mountain's Tower of Terror Marathon, Benefiting Give Kids The World

Many years ago there were jogging trails around the Hollywood Tower Hotel at MGM Studios. In September 1994 the jogging trails were shut down shortly after up and coming movie actress Shirley Malone and her husband mysteriously disappeared. On October 27, 2007 the trails will reopen for The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 13K. Nathan and the Magical Mountain team will be retracing the path that Shirley and her husband took many years ago.

What nightmares will await The Magical Mountain team? Will they suffer the same fate of the Malones? What would make them want to participate in a race they may never come back from? The simple answer is to raise funds for a very special organization called Give Kids The World, (GKTW).
